Employee Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award

On February 25th, Matthew Bethke (C-Shift Supervisor, SMC Drive, Wisconsin,
and Battalion Affects Coordinator with the National Guard) presented an Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Patriot Award to Tarry Bridgewater (Production Manager, SMC Drive, Wisconsin) and SMC Ltd. as a whole. This award is in recognition of the support that SMC has given Matthew during the monthly training activities he is required to attend as a National Guard soldier. In addition, it also recognizes that Tarry and SMC have shown a genuine interest in Mathew’s military training, including asking questions about the training and what his job entails in the military. “Being an officer in the military for the past seven years,
I have yet to see this level of commitment in any company in my civilian career. This is the first award of its kind that I have presented to an employer . . . It is a substantial event for both the military community and SMC’s community alike. These awards are not handed out to just any company. Not every employee can say that their employer is exceptional in supporting a National Guard soldier.”
