ENGINEERING

PROJECT ENGINEER  – Involved from project conception, equipment specifications, quotations, through full scope of project management until production. Experience with tooling and process development from conception to implementation. Interface with customers on design, CAD drawings, prototype tool development, engineering production tooling, procuring tooling, overseeing production run, and establishing quality parameters. CAD knowledge helpful. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong team player. Computer proficiency. BSME or equivalent. 5-7 years experience in injection molding.

PROJECT ENGINEER (Entry Level)  – Involved from project conception, equipment specifications, quotations, through full scope of project management until production. Experience with tooling and process development from conception to implementation. Interface with customers on design, CAD drawings, prototype tool development, engineering production tooling, procuring tooling, overseeing production run, and establishing quality parameters. CAD knowledge helpful. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong team player. Computer proficiency. BSME or equivalent. Plastics knowledge preferred.

OPERATIONS ENGINEER  – Provide support for production operations (after part/production approval); recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Spearhead production problem resolution; evaluate process, tool and method for issue and opportunities, drive repairs and communicate the resolution to the team. Provide assistance to production as required for continuous improvement; process flow, tool or design improvement, automation upgrade, packaging or supplies improvements, BOM adjustments and efficiency proposals. Research equipment and make recommendation for improvement opportunities, design and implement facility layout. Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, exposure to primary and secondary processes (injection molding, pad printing, ultrasonic welding, etc.), molds and tooling processes, quality process and measurement methods, automation and equipment exposure and problem solving experience. Strong communication (verbal and written), computer and organizational skills will be required.

IT

IT TECHNICIAN II  – Responsible for answering software questions, and testing/replacing basic hardware. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision. Knowledge of computer operations, programming and computer hardware/software. Ability to detect, analyze, and resolve computer software and network problems. Ability to interact with users, and provide clear and useful instructions and training; or obtain necessary information to correct problems on a timely basis. Ability to correctly install and maintain computer hardware and software. Monitor and manage backup solutions and backup tapes. Support the badge/security/time clock software. College degree (AA and/or above) in a computer related discipline. 3-5 years experience with PC hardware, peripheral, and operating systems; experience with network and server hardware, components, and operating systems. Crystal report writing experience preferred.

MAINTENANCE

MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (12-hour days)  – Perform preventative maintenance duties, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in our modern facility. Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical skills required. Must have a good driving record and be a self starter. Plastics experience preferred.

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE (12-hour days)  – Janitorial and light maintenance preferred.

OFFICE

BUYER  – Responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with company needs for indirect materials and services, select production equipment and office supplies. Minimum of five years of experience preferably in plastics industry. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a team player, and ability to develop a team atmosphere. Able to communicate with all levels of staff. Strong analytical and problem solving techniques. Knowledge and ability to negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery. Through knowledge of purchasing policies, processes and procedures. Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control. Excellent computer skills to include MS Word, Excel and IQMS.

ELECTRONIC ENGINEER  – Responsible for discussing proposals with suppliers and reviewing quotations. Work closely with SMC new product development team to design new products and devices. Ability to test theoretical designs, follow defined development processes while systematically improving detailed design of electronic equipment. Plan projects, prepare budgets, and write technical reports as required. Write specifications and qualification plans, create user friendly interfaces, ensure safety regulations are met, remain current and up-to-date with developments in technologies and regulations. Thorough knowledge with software. Attention to detail, good verbal, written and diagrammatic communication, team working attitude and advanced practical skills.

QUALITY

QUALITY MANAGER  – Will be expected to direct the quality assurance program for WI facilities. Must have expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and international medical device manufacturing standards. Must have working knowledge of advanced quality planning, process validations, risk management, and statistical methods. Should have demonstrated ability to effectively influence and build strong working relationships with customers, senior management, and other company personnel; drive continuous improvement efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and provide quality customer service. Will be managing and developing quality personnel; ensuring the effective integration of quality personnel into manufacturing and engineering processes.  Requires proven ability to implement departmental structural changes and change quality management initiatives.  Position requires the experience and ability to deal and negotiate with both customers and regulatory agencies and ability to multi-task and prioritize and respond quickly to changing customer and regulatory requirements. Should have experience in state of the art quality systems, procedure, methods and philosophy.
