ACCOUNTING
PARALEGAL-SENIOR/SUPERVISOR – Reviews and summarizes legal documents, performs records and legal research, checking legal forms for accuracy, investigates facts, and prepares reports and other documents to assist the Corporate Controller and CFO.
ENGINEERING
PROJECT ENGINEER – Involved from project conception, equipment specifications, quotations, through full scope of project management until production. Experience with tooling and process development from conception to implementation. Interface with customers on design, CAD drawings, prototype tool development, engineering production tooling, procuring tooling, overseeing production run, and establishing quality parameters. CAD knowledge helpful. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong team player. Computer proficiency. BSME or equivalent. 5–7 years experience in injection molding.
SAMPLE TECHNICAIN – Support the Process and Project Engineers during the mold development process by preparing molding machines and work stations for sampling work, tearing down molding machine and work station to prepare for the next job. Perform samples and parts of the development protocol as needed. Must have 1-5 years experience in the plastics industry, preferably injection molding. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends. Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, ERP systems and IQMS. High School diploma.
MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (12 hr Days AND 12 hr Nights) – Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to a variety of machinery and building equipment. Knowledge of basic machinery operations and computer literacy in order to maintain systems and ability to read machinery manuals. Minimum of 2 years of experience, desire experience maintaining injection molding machines. Experience in machine repair. Basic troubleshooting and mechanical skills with ability to read blueprints. Basic knowledge/understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and robotics. Knowledge of OSHA regulations. Perform preventive maintenance as directed. Monitor the operations of all utility systems such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning. Responsible for compliance with lockout/tag-out and OSHA requirements. Suggest/recommend enhancements to PM system.
MAINTENANCE TECH (12 hr Days AND 12 hr Nights) – Hands on equipment troubleshooting position. Responsible for the improved operational uptime of the facility and systems through an expanded PM program. Electrical and hydraulic training/education or equivalent required. Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience required, injection molding machine experience desired. Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills with ability to read blueprints required. Strong background in hydraulics, pneumatics, commercial electrical and robotics required. Knowledge of OSHA regulations. Troubleshoot/problem solve and repair equipment as needed. Install and hook up new equipment as needed. Maintain and enhance existing PM program. Conduct and record high level equipment calibration. Responsible for compliance with lockout/tag-out and OSHA requirements.
PRODUCTION
OPERATORS – Ability to lift 50 lbs.
LEAD ASSISTANT (A and D Crew) – Work hands-on with Operations to ensure product compliance and run autos. Assist the Lead Operator in set-up of work cells (re: packaging, paperwork, staged components, break coverage, etc.) Work with QA on quality related issues.
CYCLE TECHNICIAN (B and C Crew) – Experience with injection molding machine to include establishing cycle times, tonnages, temperatures, knowledge of engineering grade resins and production troubleshooting. HS diploma.
AUTOMATION TECH (B and C Crew) – Strong mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills. Previous experience in an injection molding environment preferred, but not required. Minimum of Associate Degree in one of the following: Controls, Electronics or Automation with 2-5 years of related work experience. Bachelor of Science in a related engineering field. Knowledge of PLC programming, set-up of Cartesian and SCARA robots. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain custom electromechanical equipment, automated work cells and vision systems. Able to initiate and complete technical activities leading to new or improved production processes as well as manage several small and large scale projects simultaneously.
AUTOMATION ENGINEER – Involved from project conception, equipment specifications, quotations, through the full scope of project management until proved production ready. This positions main focus and responsibility lies in design of manufacturing cells, end of arm design for robotics, integration of robotics and work cells and design of automation. This position also is responsible for continuous improvement and robotics and call support while in manufacturing.
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER – Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls. manage project from concept through manufacturing launch for new or revised projects. BSME or equivalent experience. Technical skills in manufacturing processes i.e. molding, tooling and all value added operations and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment. Previous experience in statistics is preferred but not required. Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills. Strong team player. Computer proficiency.
OPERATIONS ENGINEER – Provide support for production operations (after part/production approval); recommend and implement improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Spearhead production problem resolution; evaluate process, tool and method for issues and opportunities, drive repairs and communicate the resolution to the team. Provide assistance to production as required for continuous improvement; process flow, tool or design improvement, automation upgrade, packaging or supplies improvements, BOM adjustments and efficiency proposals. Research equipment and make recommendation for improvement opportunities, design and implement facility layout. Through understanding of manufacturing processes, quality and measurement methods, automation and equipment exposure and problem solving experience. Strong communication (verbal and written), computer and organizational skills will be required.
SR. PROCESS ENGINEER (8hr Night Shift) – Grow and develop the technical staff; train, mentor and provide daily direction to personnel in the cycle and set-up technician role. Drive understanding and achievement of objectives; lower scrap, higher output, by application and standardization of problem solving methods, and a sound rational for all production activities. Solve problems while using each situation as an opportunity for staff development. Identify technology and equipment ideas; research and recommend approach, drive implementation and utilization. Provide feedback to engineering regarding new tools and equipment design/function. Requires technical problem solving and implementation skills in manufacturing processes and methods including tooling, injection molding process, work flow, layout, assembly and production equipment. Must have the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload; attention to detail, recognize problems and resolve, and computer proficiency; and excellent interpersonal and communication skills, strong team player, self motivated. Leadership skills and experience desired. Relevant Bachelor of Science Degree and or equivalent years of relevant experience or combination of experience, skills and education.
QUALITY
QUALITY INSPECTOR (C Crew) – Mechanically inclined, strong mathematic skills, knowledge in statistics and a high school diploma. Utilize various measuring equipment including C.M.M. Training in injection molding preferred. Previous experience in quality preferred.
QUALITY ENGINEER – Must be proficient in the use of MS Office programs. Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as attention to detail, organization and accuracy. Must have working knowledge of DOE's, Product Validations (IQ, OQ and PQ) experience), and statistical tools. Expert knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T. Must have experience with dimensional metrology and past experience inspecting components using different types of measurement equipment. Experience with CMM programming preferred. Must possess problem solving tools related to root cause analysis and CAPA writing. Is able to establish and document critical component criteria and supporting process control information. College degree in Quality related field or 3 years minimum Quality Engineering experience required.
SECONDARY OPERATIONS
SECONDARY OPERATIONS SET-UP (D CREW) – Hands-on role, responsible for set-up, start, diagnosis and troubleshooting of the Secondary Operations machines and all auxiliary equipment. Ensures all machines run at optimum cycles. Document cycles and document any changes that are made during the run. Ensure the work cell is setup as per the Work Instruction.
SILICONE
OPERATORS – Ability to lift 50 lbs.
SET-UP (D Crew) – Experience in production troubleshooting, able to understand molding process development. Remove molds and auxiliary equipment from molding machines; set-up next mold; fit pipes/hydraulic lines if needed. Must have a high school diploma.

CNC/TOOL ROOM MACHINIST (Two for 12 hour weekend shift, One for 1st Shift and Two for 2nd Shift) – Minimum of 5 years of relevant hands on tooling/machining experience. Excellent computer skills using programs such as Solidworks and Master Cam as required. Ability to run multiple machines simultaneously. Ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Detail oriented..
WAREHOUSE
WAREHOUSE DRIVER (C Crew 12 hour days) – Assemble and deliver product/equipment shipments to the surrounding SMC facilities and the Twin Cities area. Assist in warehouse functions consisting of order pulling, packaging, shipping, receiving and material handling.
