ACCOUNTING
CORPORATE ACCOUNTANT – Provides support for financial reporting of multiple SMC and affiliate facilities. Position requires previous accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a multi-site environment. knowledge of and experience with Fixed Assets accounting. Requires proficiency with MS Word and Excel, and knowledge of Outlook and PowerPoint is preferred. Requires Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance.
AUTOMATION
AUTOMATION TECH (A Crew) – Strong mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical skills. Previous experience in an injection molding environment preferred, but not required. Minimum of Associates Degree in one of the following: controls, electronics, or automation, with 2-5 years of related work experience. Bachelor of Science in a related engineering field. Knowledge of PLC programming, set-up of Cartesian and SCARA robots. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain custom electromechanical equipment, automated work cells, and vision systems. Able to initiate and complete technical activities leading to new improved production processes, as well as manage several small and large scale projects simultaneously.
ENGINEERING
PROCESS ENGINEER – Provide support and leadership in development of injection molding processes and tools. 10 years mold development experience; strong processing and materials background required.
MAINTENANCE
MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (12-hour days) – Perform preventative maintenance duties, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in our modern facility. Mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical skills required. Must have a good driving record and be a self starter. Plastics experience preferred.
PRODUCTION
SHIFT SUPERVISOR – Supervisory experience, injection molding preferred. Understanding of injection molding, tooling, processing, and be familiar with machine and secondary operations. Knowledge of: Lean Manufacturing, ISO, GMP, OSHA standards, ERP systems, Word and Excel. Technical or college level specific course work. Knowledge of robotics a plus.
QUALITY
QUALITY ENGINEER SUPERVISOR – Supervisory experience, skill set in statistics, proficiency in use of data analysis software, general computer skills in Excel, Word, and Project. Good communications skills. Educational background in quality assurance or related experience in this roles core competencies are required. Responsible for development of programs. Experience in customer relations, customer audits, and statistics. Ability to analyze blueprints and the metrology side of measurement. Solid understanding and application of GD&T, along with all basic blueprint interpretation skills is required. Must have full understanding of the regulatory requirements of the manufacturing process for products manufactured by SMC. Oversee quality engineers and quality technicians at all WI facilities.
QUALITY MANAGER – Will be expected to direct the quality assurance program for WI facilities. Must have expertise in ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and international medical device manufacturing standards. Must have working knowledge of advanced quality planning, process validations, risk management, and statistical methods. Should have demonstrated ability to effectively influence and build strong working relationships with customers, senior management, and other company personnel; drive continuous improvement efforts to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and provide quality customer service. Will be managing and developing quality personnel; ensuring the effective integration of quality personnel into manufacturing and engineering processes. Requires proven ability to implement departmental structural changes and change quality management initiatives. Position requires the experience and ability to deal and negotiate with both customers and regulatory agencies and ability to multi-task and prioritize and respond quickly to changing customer and regulatory requirements. Should have experience in state of the art quality systems, procedure, methods and philosophy.
SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER – Will provide interface between supply chain and production team to include supplier surveys/approvals, Supplier Corrective Action Requests, dock to stock programs, and ensure specifications are detailed correctly. Must have experience in quality and procurement.
SALES
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – WISCONSIN position is based in Somerset, WI. Position to include research of new medical market segments and merging markets. responsible to develop and leverage relationships with new and existing customers to create and penetrate new market opportunities. Responsible for adding new business to achieve sales targets and sales growth. Ideal candidate will have experience in new account identification, account relationship building, contract negotiations, sales experience and medical industry knowledge. Overnight travel is required.
TOOL ROOM
TOOL MAKER (2nd Shift – Four 10hr days) – Minimum five years experience; build/fabricate tools for production, mold repair and revisions. Knowledge of Cadkey, Master Cam, tool room machines, inspections and measuring techniques.
