At SMC, our mission is to become a global leader in applying contract manufacturing solutions to select customers while operating with integrity. Corporate and social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including sustainability and employee engagement, are imperative to our success in achieving this mission. From energy, water and waste management to safety in the workplace, all SMC locations are committed to these initiatives as part of an overall culture of workplace integrity that provides quality service to customers through best-in-class manufacturing practices and ongoing continuous improvement.

A GLOBAL COMMITMENT
Environmental, Health and Safety
Our environmental, health and safety (EHS) policy highlights our commitment to safeguarding the planet by minimizing environmental impact and continuously improving our environmental management system (EMS). All global operational sites are ISO 14001 Certified, and we plan to have other sites certified, as well, if and when they become operational sites for product manufacturing. Our strong competence in regulatory affairs across varied product categories and global markets helps us to support sustainability as well as patient and employee health and safety. Striving for Improvement in Sustainability
At SMC, we are proud to actively participate in third-party programs that help us track and improve our sustainability management performance. Since 2017, we have reported annually to EcoVadis, a third party that provides sustainability ratings for companies that complete its sustainability assessment process.
