SMC Ltd. Acquires New Building To Expand Its Medical Design And Product Development Center
Somerset, Wisconsin – SMC Ltd., a medical device contract manufacturer with locations in California, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Ohio, Costa Rica, and India, announced acquisition of a 16,000 sq. foot building to house and expand its medical design and product development center. The 16,000 sq. foot building is located in Twinsburg, Ohio, fifteen minutes from the existing location. The new space will allow for additional areas in product design, validation and clinical trials along with added rapid prototyping and clean room assembly. “Product design services offered by SMC Ltd. have been one of the industry’s best kept secrets. SMC Ltd. Announces Expansion in Somerset, WI
Somerset, Wisconsin – SMC Ltd., a medical device contract manufacturer with locations in California, Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Ohio, Costa Rica and India, announced plans for a significant expansion to its global headquarters and manufacturing facility located in Somerset, WI. The expansion, currently underway, is expected to more than double existing production capacity at this site, adding over 100,000 sq feet of device manufacturing and engineering space to the location in Somerset, WI. The new space will add significant device manufacturing and assembly space as well an expanded area for thermoplastics and silicone (LIM) molding. The expansion will allow SMC increased production of medical devices currently produced in Somerset.
